This privacy policy applies to the MSTrIPES Ecology app (hereby referred to as "Application") for mobile devices that was created by IGIS Pvt Ltd (hereby referred to as "Service Provider") on behalf of Wildlife Institute of India, Dehradun as a Free service. The Application collects your device's precise location data when you use our app to:
- Track Ecology routes and calculate distance travelled
- Associate Ecology data with specific geographical areas
- Verify Ecology coverage in designated conservation areas
- Generate spatial analytics for Ecology effectiveness
- Identify conservation hotspots requiring attention
- Provide location-based services for wildlife monitoring and conservation activities
- Enable real-time tracking of field personnel for safety and coordination purposes
Device and File Access
- Photos and videos stored on your device for documenting wildlife sightings, Ecology evidence, and conservation activities
- Audio recordings for capturing field notes, wildlife sounds, and incident reports
- Device storage to save app data, Ecology records, offline maps, and conservation documentation
- Device identifiers for analytics and app functionality, user authentication, and secure data synchronization
Phone Information
We may access your phone number and device state information for user authentication, contact verification, emergency communication during field operations, and ensuring secure access to conservation data.
Advertising and Analytics
We use advertising identifiers to provide personalized content and measure app performance. This data may be shared with third-party analytics and advertising partners to improve user experience and app functionality.
- Geolocation Services: The Service Provider utilizes location data to estimate the distance travelled while using the app.
- Analytics and Improvements: Aggregated and anonymized location data helps the Service Provider to analyse user behaviour, identify trends, and improve the overall performance and functionality of the Application.
- Third-Party Services: Periodically, the Service Provider may transmit anonymized location data to external services. These services assist them in enhancing the Application and optimizing their offerings.
Third Party Access and Data Sharing
- With Wildlife Institute of India and authorized conservation agencies for Ecology monitoring, analysis, and official reporting purposes
- With technical service providers who help maintain, secure, and improve the Application
- In aggregated, anonymized form with research institutions to support conservation efforts
- As required by law, such as to comply with legal processes or government requests
- When necessary to protect rights, safety, and security

Opt-Out Rights
You can stop all collection of information by the Application easily by uninstalling it.
Data Retention Policy
The Service Provider will retain User Provided data for as long as you use the Application and for a reasonable time thereafter. If you'd like them to delete User Provided Data, please contact:

Children's Privacy
The Application does not address anyone under the age of 13. If we discover that a child under 13 has provided personal information, we will immediately delete it.
Security
The Service Provider provides physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect information.
